How to draw a 3d metallic wire

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and to shapr3d. I apologise if my question will be a bit silly, but I have only been using this software for a very short time. Thank you for your understanding.
I need to model an object made of wire, similar to an office clip. Imagine an office clip that is a bit open and stretched so that the wire occupies space in three dimensions, and is not ‘flat’ like a clip.

I made the drawing in Illustrator, saved it as a dwg and imported it into shapr3d, and watching tutorials I ‘laid’ a 1 mm diameter circle on one end of my wire and then used the sweep tool. i get a 1 mm diameter ‘tube’ but only for a small part of my drawing imported from illustrator. Also, the path is on a plane (like the office clip) but I need to take one end of it and pull it upwards.

Let’s say the result I want is something like the one in the picture.
How can I do this?
Thank you very much for your help.
