How does one import projects created in Shapr3D into HBP Beta?
Maybe try exporting from S3D as a STEP and then import into HBP from the same folder you export your STEP file to?
In most cases just exporting a file in .shapr format from the live app and importing it into the HBPM beta should work (but not vica versa!). Of course you won’t have the whole history there, just the “dumb” geometry.
If that fails, the next best thing you can try is to export in an X_T format from the live app and import that into the beta.
I know it’s a bit of a hassle, but we’re deliberately keeping the two versions completely separate for now to avoid accidental data incompatibility issues.
Hi Peter,
thank you for your succinct answer. It is much apreciated.
We work mostly in Shapr for 3d printing project development.
Do you know how we can vectorise STL files for importing into Shapr?

Eugene
Thank you we will try

No, that’s not possible. You can import STL files to use as a reference, but there’s no automated way to turn them into editable solids — that would be a very difficult and error-prone computational problem and solving it is not on our short term roadmap.
