This is a minor feature. It would be helpful to have designs show up in the library in an isometric view with visualizations on. It somewhat does this already, but I think it is currently a bug.
This will both add to the library ascetic and make it so documents don’t look empty.
Also note: to get the program to do this I open the visualization tool and closed the project after I set the camera to home position.
Awesome!
Yeah, it may be a bug. I expect you probably know that Shapr had this feature up until the last release, when they forced all projects to have a default 3/4 thumbnail view.
I used to be able to simply exit with visualization on, and it would save exactly what was onscreen, as the thumbnail. I relied heavily on this feature in all the years I’ve been using Shapr and I expect that I’m not alone.
I was able to replicate your method by selecting Default View, then selecting Sync Now, prior to exiting. It even saved the camera blur in the thumbnail.
As I recall, it was even possible for the thumbnail to show a section, if section was turned on.
Does that sound familiar or am I perhaps imagining that?
Actually I found an old file with a thumbnail showing a section.
(It’s not in visualization mode of course, but at least it proves it was possible to show sections in thumbnails)
