I’m trying to dimension an object that is not aligned to the primary axis’ of the drawing and I have a couple of issues.

I’m unable to get it to be square with the 2D drawing. I’ve tried squaring the object before going back to the drawing with the new object, I’ve tried a new drawing to no avail.

The dimensions seem to be related to the view of the object in then 2D drawing and not the actual object being dimensioned.
The green is the object in question and is on two angles to the main axis’ with the actual length of just over 355mm.
This is the object placed with the other available faces all dimensioned.
Have I missed a step somewhere in trying to add this object to the drawing?
