It's almost 2026, can we add/remove bodies from an existing view/drawing without redoing all the measurements yet?

This has been an issue for years, many posts about it. Not being able to select a View on a drawing and add new bodies is a killer. We have to delete the View(s) from the drawing and re-add and redo all the measurements and connected notes. Or add new (duplicate) Views but they’re not intrinsically connected to the existing ones. Please y’all

I agree 100% this is a standard Cad modeling command to create dewing’s it does not make sense to send the model to a different cad software to complete a good drawing. Is Shapr3D listening.

Thank you

Hi, I completely agree this is currently one of the major issues.

Around two or three years ago, it was possible to add or remove bodies from existing views and projections.

I renewed my subscription for this year it was a tough decision because of some of the major commands that are missing from Shapr3D (like adding or removing models from drawings after the drawing is completed) and another important command “Assembly Mode”. I guess I will hang on for another year and hope more important commands get added, it is getting very frustrating.

Any update on this? Im keen to come back to Shapr, is can you add a new body to an existing drawing?

I have voiced my opinion on this issue many times on this issue and I hope the Shapr3D team adds this fix for adding or removing new models to a project that already has a drawing tied to it. It is just ridiculous that you would need to completely redo the drawing just to add a new part to a assembly. Hope they are listening.

Thank you

Totally agree. I ended up getting a subscription again. Man I love Shapr. This would be fantastic if they could sort this out. Fingers crossed.
