Loft with guides issue

Beginner trying to use loft between two cross sections with 2 guide rails. I can loft to the two cross sections with one or the other guide rail but not both. When I select both it throws and error “…the resulting body wouldn’t be valid”. Works if I loft with either guide rail separately. Seems like a simple use case and can’t seem to figure this out.

Working on MacOS Version 5.730.0 (7613)

Thanks!

Your guides should start form the first crossection, and should be ended at the last, exactly.
You need to draw a “very small” section at the front (few tenth), to make a good nose.

Thank you. I’ll try that!

I was able to get the lofts to complete; however, the outcome isn’t quite what I was hoping for. I had to loft each section between cross sections separately. My process was to sketch half a cross section then sketch the top, bottom and side guide rail. At this point, I lofted the sketches between two cross sections and finally mirrored to generate the other side. The outcome wasn’t very smooth and and doesn’t really look like a space shuttle. Are there any tips for smothing a surface?..I’ve search but really can’t find a method.

draw it in a part up to section D, the cocpit bubble later.

At first draw the horizontal, and vertical guides.
Then make the construction planes, at the sections
Select the plane to draw the crossections, use the purple dots to fit to the guides.
Make outlines bodies for the guides, draw a bigger rectangle around the guide, if you draw vertical lines at “A “ and D”, and pull it, the guides will fit to the sections( in that case you should not cut the original guides lines) use the edges of theese bodies for the loft.

See my front nose (glider)

I think for the wing you need more section.

Thanks JST! I would never have thought of that!
