Move body along its own orientation, not global orientation

This seems so simple, but I can’t figure it out. I want to move the body in blue perpendicular to its orientation (denoted by the red arrow) rather than along the global axes (which is what the white arrow buttons provide for.)

How do I do this?

Move the center gizmo of the Move-Rotate tool to an edge.

Thank you so much - I had no idea what that little circle did!

Most welcome. Not sure what it is actually called be we all seem to reference it as the ‘gizmo’ on the forum. BTW, welcome to the forum!

I repeat myself but this kind of post has nothing to do in this section. Thank you for choosing the appropriate category.

My apologies — I’m new here. When I posted, I thought I did choose an appropriate category. (And now that I’m looking, I can’t see what category I did post to? Is it displayed on the page?)

Thank you.

Misunderstanding. Your post was fine and in the right category and glad to help.
I believe jean-philippe2 was replying to Andreas.
