Newbie 3D printer needs help

Hello all. I am new to Shapr3D and 3D printing but making slow progress.

The problem I’m having is when I design something A specific size then print it, it always prints very small. Why would a file that is created from a drawing that is one size print smaller?

Thank you for any help you might be able to provide

Hi, welcome to Shapr3d community forum!

3d printing output formats are unitless and a way to translate more accurate dimension data can be that you export the design in Metres or MM
Then set unit in the slicer app to Metres or MM before importing the file into the slicer.

Kindly give this a try and let me know if the issue persists

In the Hanger Webinar he talks about this towards the end of the video. He mentions to use mm so it is correct dimension. On a side note if your not aware being that your new to 3d printing some printers are not accurate. Usually with holes I go a bit small so I can drill them out to perfect size.
