What setting am I missing
Auto constraints are off
Draw a rectangle 100mm x 100m in free space.
More… Offset box by 20mm
Draw rectangle on right side touching corner of offset box 20mm x 140mm
Update width of new rectangle from 20mm to 30mm
All is good
Repeat on left side touching corner of offset box
Update width of new rectangle from 20mm to 30mm
Offset box shifts to the right???

Lock the offset box or the edge of the box which is required to stay in place and it will work as expected.

I played with locking points and discovered that would solve the movement but …
Is this not a defect or a feature.
The original rectangle is the origin, the offset should always be an offset, and it appears that the software assumes the left most point is the locked point in space even if it is not locked and has no constraints.
If a rectangle is added to rectangle created from a centre rectangle and not an offset it’s not the same experience.
