Project components disappeared

I’ve been modelling a model gun today and got it about 75% done when all the parts vanished as I zooming out. The parts are showing in the list but are not visible in the working space. Is there a way to get them back?

Ignore my previous post folks. It was the zooming out went funny and made everything go so far back that they weren’t visible. I zoomed back in and all is good now.

I get this issue sometimes. Usually, I just click minimise the sidebar and then open it again and my design comes back.

Yeah, I’ve had that too so I just double tap the 3D icon and it recanters and rezones everything properly. My other reply still stands though… Occasionally a design will just vanish during an action and I can’t get it back until I minimise then reopen the sidebar… weird!

I, too have noticed this disappearing design phenomenon. Choosing the designs in the sidebar causes the movement widget to show up, but not the design, itself. When I close than open the sidebar like @welshsteve suggested, that SOMETIMES works.

So here is the solution that ALWAYS works for me. Choose the item(s) in the side bar, then isolate them. All you see on the screen is the movement widget (still no visible design), but do not worry. Go to File/Export and export it as a .STEP file. Then go to your OS (Finder) and highlight it and slide it back in. Viola! It shows up!

I have taken this one step further in some case and exported the important elements of a design (invisible and visible) then imported them into a new clean project.

Hope this helps!
