Shadows of Emissive Materials

The problem that this feature will solve:

Emissive Materials are currently a bit underwhelming, their brightness is limited to a very low level, but the main Problem is that they don‘t cast any shadows or reflections on other objects. Solving this could step up the level of rendering quality in Shapr3d a lot, since one could create custom lightning showroom, etc.

If this feature is added, I also suggest that one could save light configurations as the custom showrooms mentioned above, allowing to visualize in your own style efficiently, since otherwise one had to model the objects and then apply the emissive material to them.

Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:

I expect more realistic renderings with more customization options to Lightning and shadows

What can’t you achieve without this feature?

Realistic lightning and shadows

Is this a workflow blocker for you? Is this why you can’t use Shapr3D for work? Is this slowing you down?

It is not completely blocking my workflow, but might lower the level of renderings I could deliver my customers or interested parties. This could result in less success of the product than with better renderings

I would like to see emission cast shadows and in general work the way it supposed to. Also in webview emission doesn’t cast a glow.

I wish I could complete the process within Shapr.

For now I started a workaround by exporting it as GLB file because it saves materials with it.

Import it in Blender and just check emission and add the strength, set camera.

Shapr

Note emission/light actually casts shadow of itself.
