Shapr-metrics and constraints

The constraints don’t behave the same on the desktop version.

I have been practicing and experimenting with parametrics on the ipad version. And making some progress.

on ipad - when I make a construction rectangle, and then add a model rectangle on the bottom portion of my construction rect. I’m able to add a coincident constraint on my model corners where needed, (autoconstraints off) by clicking the appropriate construction rect side, then my model rect corner point, the coincident constraint is enabled and I can tap select it. So that my model rect follows the const-rect when I resize horizontally.
–which is what I want to begin my para-model.

This cannot be done on the desktop version, at least in the same way?

I don’t suppose this is a bug. But can anyone explain or provide how to add or manage constraints on the desktop mac version?

very disappointed by this…

OK, I didn’t see that you have to hold the shift key down on the macDesktop, to enable constraints.

And after wasting a bunch of time, found that I needed to unlock a second measurement, and that made things work.

I’m not feeling very generous for this behavior, or the behavior differences between what happens automatically, and not, between the ipad version and the desktop version.

There needs to be settings that allow the versions behave very similar, more so than now.

You can spend hours tracking this BS down, and this will make people lose interest in para-metrics, and shapr3d as well.

It’s my first disappointment though…

Can you make a video how you doing that on iPad?

I use to have iPad and the workflow was the same as on a Mac.
