Shapr3D lands on the iPhone Duo (and other iPhones)

The iPhone viewer arrives on the App Store this week, and iPhone Duo follows in November.

Can’t wait hope I get in gamma, my first design will be a custom iPhone Duo case I want to resin print 80a formlabs , this case I plan to make will only be useful if you plan to work outdoors ( dusty, sand, wood dust, dirt), will for fun design it on the iPhone Duo , I already scanned my iPhone Duo using my sermoon s1

After seeing all the iPhone Duo screens broken at the hinge point, I’m going to skip this generation.

Looking forward to the full release of shapr3D on duo

Meh over exaggerated, super small amount of people this is happening to just sounds like a bad early batch which is funny if you recall news apple had to cancel many August manufactures so it just looks like that batch slipped into the “cracks”

Still, I rarely buy the first generation of any product. 99% of the time, they’re rife with bugs.

I ran my finger over the seam and could feel (and see) it. For me, running the pencil over it would be annoying but otherwise I’d definitely use shapr3d on it.

You don’t feel it when using a pencil, our fingers though are extremely sensitive we feel everything even more than some level sensory devices

Yup, I just ordered the 2TB version, but have to wait until January. I’ll just AppleCare the heck out of it…but after having one in my hand, it was a “wow” moment. Before I saw one, I was skeptical, but if I can have Shapr3D in my pocket, I’m sold. Having Shapr3D available on it actually made the decision for me. I usually carry my iPad Mini for Shapr and ZBrush stress relief!

Daniel, is this public yet? Can we share this image and start hyping it? I know some folks who might be really interested!

I AM SO FREAKIN’ EXCITED ABOUT THIS. I wasn’t really interested in a Duo, but when I walked into the Apple Store and saw what I thought was a smaller iPad Mini, and realized I could actually play with Shapr3D on it? I bought one. I just can’t believe I have to wait until almost February to get the 2TB version.

Hope I get in gamma would love to beta test this before November release

So you’re seeing this post and you’re not in Gamma? So that would mean it’s public?

I guess this is public they did release a video on YouTube also

I’ve been using the iPad Pro with Shapr for years. Now the Duo would be very convenient for cases when you have no iPad but want to sketch an idea on the spot. As the phone is usually in my pocket. However, with a 2k USD price tag it is a rather expensive convenience…

And with those hinges braking now…iPad it is

Yes, it is public  We just launched on iPhone today, and editing is coming to Duo in November

Yes it is public, feel free to share anywhere

You definitely see it, and can sense it with your finger, but hasn’t been an issue with the Pencil :magic_wand:

Have you heard anything about me possibly getting gamma invitation yeah, it sounds like it’s probably gonna be a short wait anyway, but it’ll be nice if I could test it out earlier, I so badly want the iPhone duo version soon

I got mine day one I work outdoors where lots of dirt sand, dust local IBEW , but I do 3d scanning and reverse engineering so iPhone Duo the moment I heard shapr3d was coming fully supported I had to buy iPhone Duo 2tb model was lucky I got it pre order oct 23, also I pay apple care one family so it’s 50 dollars a month but all my apple devices including my families is covered no matter how many devices that includes my duo

I am so excited to be able to use my phone (iPhone 17pro) to show others my models. I understand that editing the models on a phone without pencil function is a non-starter but I was surprised and rather disappointed that I can’t even access the items list let alone change visibility of objects. I work in live theater and have really enjoyed using S3D for set design. So many shows have different sets pieces for different scenes. Without being able to turn on and off object visibility the phone version is much less useful. I can imagine that we are not only industry this would be an issue for. What about a large machine where a certain component needs to be highlighted and discussed?

I hope the ongoing growth of the new phone functions will include the ability to adjust object viability.
