The problem that this feature will solve:
Share projects to colleagues using existing corporate file sharing platform (ms sharepoint, google drive, etc).
Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:
If Shapr3D allowed users to set their default local projects folder their existing desktop sync services (MS OneDrive, Google Desktop Sync, etc) would automatically sync their local data folder to their corporate file share servers. This method would inherit the File/Folder permissions already in place.
For good reasons, cybersecurity is a big concern for companies, and more and more are blocking APIs outside their own domain.
For individuals, syncing to the shapr3d server would likely still be the preferred option.
What can’t you achieve without this feature?
I can use Shapr3D at work. I just have to manually export and import projects between MacOS and iPad.
