When making cabinet furniture designs from plywood, the supply of ply is not always width accurate. So a design with gap tolerances for 18 mm ply may be loose if the stock arrives at 17.8mm.
Having the ability to give values, a perimeter name would allow you to design to a certain size, but quickly change the design, based on changing one key parameter rather than change ever sketch or extrude…
It would also be useful for naming the dimensions for gaps to allow different tool sizes to be used for CNC cutting of sheet material.
I’ve started using shapr3d due the excellant workflow between iPad and desktop rather than using fusion360 but dare I say it, but this functionality is a dealbreaker.
