Was modelling a gun barrel but sketching it and then revolving it like you would with a cup but the sketch stayed there even though it was already fully revovled and i made a hole in the barrel
The sketch is not supposed to go away, providing the ability to modify the sketch in the future. You can hide the sketch if you don’t want to see it.
