Sketch won’t highlight

Yes it is on the user. In Eagle CAD I could click on the error and it would home in/ show where the violations is. I think other CAD software does this as well. I don’t think it is an unreasonable expectation. I am used to vector programs that have more refined drawing capabilities so I usually work in them and import to Shapr with fewer problems. Another problem for me is that Shapr requires your mouse to be precisely on a point, edge or line or it will not select it and often it throws you into sketch mode if you miss ever so slightly. I often have to zoom way in to select an edge. frustrating for me because of my messed up neck and hands. Competitors are more forgiving. So I understand how easily, while drawing consecutive segments, a connection could easily missed.

As far as I know, the situation is the same in all professional CAD systems as it is in Shapr3D. For example, here is the non-manifold error in Fusion 360:

In this particular case, the problem is obvious — I chose it as the quickest way to demonstrate that the system presents errors in a non-interactive way.

There is nothing you can do about that error — only read it and acknowledge it.

Well, I agree with that. It would be great if some UI workflows had more user-configurable options. I’d also prefer to disable switching into Sketch mode unless explicitly requested.

I don’t have any motor impairments, but I can be very inattentive, so since childhood I’ve developed a habit of double- and triple-checking everything. As a result, I often notice things other people miss.
