Sketches don't attach to planes

Hi Team,
a general enquiry about planes and how they relate to sketches. When I need to do a sketch that’s offset say in parallel to another object, I’ll add a Construction plane, tap the object I want it parallel with and then set in the offset distance. I then do new sketch and click the plane I’ve just positioned and start drawing. Great.

However then down the road I decide that instead of the plane being 2mm offset I want it 10 mm offset. I enter the new value and the plane moves to its new location. Great … but wait … my sketch stays exactly where it was originally drawn… I don’t know about you, but I consider this to be a fault. When I attach a sketch to the plane I expect it to stay permanently linked to that plane. If I move the plane, I move the sketch… Can you advise me if this is an intentional design strategy by Shapr3D or it’s an over-sight? Could you please fix this? If you don’t then I literally have move the contents of the sketch manually which is annoying.

Regards Simon

Works for me:

Maybe the offset plane is not selected? You can check under the sketch to which plane the sketch is attached to.

Thanks Istvan,
I’ll review this tonight and do some more testing - I’ll let you know. But yes I selected the plane and then go to it’s Edit settings and move it via the input box by typing a value.

Hi Istvan.
i opened a new project yesterday and tried to recreate my issue. Alas it seemed to work as expected, which was nice. I’ll keep my eye on it, but yes the function does work as intended. Thank you.
