Hi, I imported a stl file and I’m trying to split the piece in half. So it’s a business card holder and I want to split the top part from the bottom where I have the red circle. I want to end up with two different pieces that I can export individually as a stl. I cannot figure it out and shapr sees the object as a “mesh” object so most options are limited.
Any help is appreciated

Add a Construction Plane to the place where you want to split the body and use the Split Body tool. Here’s a short video about it.
Bodies can be exported individually, the required body should be isolated by Isolate, then exported, just make sure that Include Hidden Items option is off on the export dialog.

For whatever reason Im not getting the same results. When i choose Add Construction Plane I cant choose the object and have nothing else to choose.
