Subtraction and union problems

I’m having a small problem trying to create a screw thread in a design. I had been using a imported thread and then either using the union function or the subtract function depending on the application. For some reason on my current project I’m having problems using either of these functions. Addition comes up with a Boolean error and subtract is allowing me to select the items but not complete the action.

Any help would be greatly received.

In which format did you imported the thread?

I think it is in a .STL format

Think I figured out how to do it, this is the file

I think I’ve sorted it, it all works now that I’ve found a different file to use for the thread I tried it with a .igs file and everything works as it should :+1:
