Symetrical Extrude feature

The problem that this feature will solve:
Save unnecessary clicking and wasted time.

Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:

Hi Team,
I tend to design where the sketch is on the origin and do a lot of revolving etc to create 3d objects. So when it comes to extruding shapes, i’m baffled why I don’t see a symetrical extrude. A the moment I have to extrude in one direction a certain distance. Then I have to rotate the object so I can see the opposite face and click that and then extrude the same distance in the other direction.

When you do this in Fusion360 it’s very intuitive and gives you the option of symetrical extrude (where if you pull a face out say 2mm on one side, it automatically adds 2mm on the other side.

They also have the option to extrude individual distances too for each side as well.
What can’t you achieve without this feature?

Like I said, I can end up doing it by fiddling, but this is a lot of un-necessary flaffing for something so essential in my opinion. Thanks.

Is this a workflow blocker for you? Is this why you can’t use Shapr3D for work? Is this slowing you down?

Nope - just a general annoyance

Absolutely plus one

This has been released a while ago.

Oh, how do I use it? SO sorry I got here by googling basically

Just like any other parameter:

Ah, thanks! I need to catch up on parametric feature. Haven’t looked enough into it.

The one thing I noticed in the extrude Symmetrical that I think could be a improvement to it is that when you put in the value you want extruded it should be the total value and not half of the total value Example: 1.00 entered will extrude symmetrical .50 on each side. This is the way i have noticed over the years how most of the cad design software are setup, just my take.

Thank you
