Often times I work with complex files that have hundreds of items nested in folders and subfolders, some of which may or may not be created by me. At times I wish to toggle some of them off. Usually I will do that by selecting it in the viewport, which marks the folder it’s within blue, then navigating down the folders to find it and toggle the visibility off.
After doing that I will continue to work on the design and at some point I will inevitably want to make some of the hidden layers visible again. In files with complex file structures that can be a real pain. I have no indication which subfolder(s) have hidden items within it, making it very hard to find. Often I will import files from other teams in the company, and their naming conventions and folder names/structures may not be directly clear to me, further enhancing the issue.
Other times the issue will arise when working working on a quick design file for personal use, and to be honest, naming folders and items on the ipad is a bit of a chore, so often times I will not bother naming everything, but will inevitably end up with hidden items that I want to find back, in a sea of folders, items and subfolders.
I think it would be great if you could quickly filter so that only hidden items, or folders with hidden items, are visible in the item list.
This could be a stand-alone feature, or added functionality inside a search function for searching through your items/folders (if that is still in the works Search function in design area - #8 by Peter_Gy ).
