Transforming 3D bodies into DXF file

I want to cnc machine my designs and it is way easier to create the g code for the cnc with an 2d DXF file, because 3d is only really needet for round and arched bodies for objects with flat faces it is just 100 times better to have like a picture from above the piece.
i cant figure out how to only export the 2d drawing from above and nothing else. And also how to include mesh bodies in it this isnt possible yet i think

I export my Shapr3D designs to cnc all the time. I begin with drawing the sketch plans in the Top view. Then I extrude to finish the design. Then I create a new plane, offset some distance and project the solid body onto that plane. This gives me an updated sketch. I hide the solid body and the original plane, and then export the Sketch as a DXF.
