Unable to export to STEP or IGES

Hi. I’m getting this error:

No bodies to export.
Create a body as turn on its visibility to include it in export.

The steps I took were:

  1. Create a rectangle, resize length and width
  2. Extrude the rectangle
  3. Fillet the edges to round the corners
  4. Import an STL, put it inside the rectangular prism
  5. Subtracted the STL from the rectangular prism

I’m not sure why I’m unable to export this. Can anyone see what the problem might be? Thank you.

Using Boolean operations between a Shapr3D object and a mesh results in a mesh, which cannot be exported to any CAD format. It’s an issue I hope they can fix eventually because, as it is now, doing this sort of operation is almost useless.

Thanks. Is there a workaround?

You put really very helpful information!

@FoxMcWeezer You’d have to convert the STL into a CAD file. Depending on its complexity, Fusion 360 may be able to do it.
