Unable to tap to select fit spline control point

I am practicing with fit point splines and when I try to manipulate the spline control point it begins creating a new separate line. My pen cannot select the control point. I can select the spline center and move the spline around but not the additional control points.

So, what’s the trick to do this?

I have newest iPad Pro and latest pen.

I’m sorry I didn’t reply sooner but I solved the problem. I was failing to select the spline control point first by tapping it before maneuvering it. If you don’t tap it to select it the app simply begins to draw a new line.
