Uploaded Images not visible in Visualization

Uploaded images (construction mode, e.g. a painting on a wall) are not visible in Visualization view (and also web viewer)… Or did i miss something?

No, images aren’t supported inside Visualization yet.

I like the „yet“.

It’s now nearly 2025, and this feature still isn’t available?
I mean this isn’t exactly a complicated update? Just allow us to see our uploaded images inside the Visualisation window.
And when will we be able to add our own HDRs for the environment image?
I just can’t understand how Shapr 3D can justify such a large monthly subscription, when this software is still in its infancy, when compared to something like Blender.
Yes, the UX is very well crafted for the iPad Pro, but that still doesn’t justify £39.99/month.
Have you seen Blender’s material editor? Shapr 3D has a very basic materials editor, in comparison. I do get the fact that you cannot have anything as complicated on a touch screen, but nevertheless, there are some very basic features that are missing from the Visualisation window.
It would be great to see these two features added, as soon as possible, because they are both really useful, and would certainly make this section, feel more complete.

Cadmio has both custom HDRI background and image decals, if you’re looking for a solution on the iPad.

OK. Thanks for that, but when I go to the cadmio website, I cannot see the pricing page, anywhere.
I am looking at it, on my iPhone.
Do you know what the pricing is?

$10/month, a bit cheaper if you pay annually.

OK. So is Cadmio an alternative to Shapr 3D. I mean does it have 3D modeling capabilities? Thanks

No. Cadmio is a Visualisation software. One can import models or part models in various formats including STEP files from Shaper3D. Once in Cadmio, they can be moved and scaled and materials and environments added. Custom images can be imported and added to model parts, ie used as textures.

I’ve used Cadmio for a few years on iPad, sending my Shapr projects across. The results are better than the Shaper Visualisations IMHO. Cadmio doesn’t do Raytracing or reflections, if I need that I used Light Tracer Render (around $5 per month) on my Laptop.
