Its unfortunately that you can’t name a variable when you create it in an expression.
It would be nice if when you create a variable that way (as opposed to the Add Variable method), that you could specify the name as well rather than just get the default name.
Maybe there is a way, but its not clear to me how, so if it is, then that would be a separate feature request to make it more obvious how it is done.
I’m with Peter here. Current method of renaming is a lot of clicking. Renaming in the creation would be great!
Alternatively if the variable could inherit the name of the body it was created for (as boolean operations should inherit the first selected body name?).
Renaming is time consuming and important to organization especially dealing with many variables.
I completely agree with Peter on this! The current method of creating variables with a custom name is quite frustrating and feels really inconvenient compared to simply specifying the name directly when creating it in an expression. When I first started using shapr3d, I thought this was a bug until I came across this thread…
