I have twice now seen a “what’s new” pop-up on launch that shows a Parts Library folder. But how do I get to it or create it? I have poked around all over and can’t figure it out.

Can you share a screenshot of that Parts Libary folder?
It is probably just a normal folder where you safe your parts. I do this since it’s possible to import directly from other projects. I made a folder where I have every part as a project and I can import into another project where I assemble different parts.
That’s of course only a work around because you can’t modify the part in the Parts Folder and have it updated in the assembled project.
Still an improvement over importing the parts from a system folder in which I used to export every part as step or shapr file.
There’s no such thing as a Part Library folder in Shapr3D. For now, only importing from another project is available, so you can imitate your own part library that way.
Ah, ok. It’s just an example of how importing could be utilized.
I had interpreted it as a new feature (a “system” parts library) separate from importing another project file.
I’d love that, though - I’d happily spend an hour every evening designing some screws or other small parts. Even a shared (open source) database would be a blast!
