26.110 - Visualization materials, Decal workflows, and Construction tool updates

Add realistic material finishes, manage overlapping decals more efficiently, and quickly reference geometries on imported meshes.

  • New: Bring richer textures to your architectural and interior scenes with new options for brick, Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF), oak strip and herringbone flooring, and Douglas fir end-grain.

Download a sample model and try it yourself.
Note: You’ll need to update to the latest version to open it.
  • Improved: Dragging and dropping a decal onto your model now places a new copy instead of replacing the surface material, allowing you to select and adjust each decal directly on your model.

  • Fixed: Construction planes and axes can now be created again on imported STL meshes. When using point-based construction tools, select anywhere on the mesh body to pick a point and define your references.

More materials are always welcome. For the materials that do not allow a color change, is it possible for you to add it or at least a tinting option? With a tinting option, we could basically “stain” any of the wood materials.

e.g. MDF in color (valcromat, medite, etc.)
