I’m in the same boat, I would pay 20-25 per months to finish a project, figure out how to use the software etc.
But the choice is 35 per months, or 15/months when subscribing to the full year, which is 180 Euros.
The problem with this is that I cannot trust this company, they already start with making me pay through the nose. Why would I invest time in learning the software and locking myself into an ecosystem where the company cannot understand that entry level starts at 15-25 Euros per months.
This forum is a proof that they don’t and never cared about small makers.
I’d say vote with your money and go elsewhere, even if it’s a bit less convenient.
I was ready to shell out couple of months, instead now I’m researching other software, great job guys.
3D printing is really quite straightforward. I don’t need light rendering, I don’t need patterns and materials. I want to build items and export to an STL. Give me a version that is affordable for someone like me. I have used the product for many years now.
This is a choice that I would like to have. If I want more features, I will pay for them. And that is how it should work. But if the high tier features that don’t apply to 3D printing aren’t needed why should I pay for them? I will look for an alternative and they will lose me completely. It’s a great product. I have been an advocate and got many people converted, but now I think we are all jumping ship.
Another option would be an iPad only version that is actually affordable. I would pay $10 a month for an iPad only version, I only use my iPad for design anyway!
