I want to add a slope to a cylindrical object. How would I go about this? I want to keep the outside proportions and simply have the top face be at an angle. I hope the simple illustration on the right helps.
Thanks!

You can select edge and use move/rotate tool. But better way would be to draw a sketch and just subtract top part.
Thanks, @Xdrakosha . I did try around with the Move/Rotate tool but was never able to do what you did. Could you upload a video perhaps? Also, how would the subtract top part be better? Im still a beginner so interested to learn. thanks!
Edit: I figured it out, I needed to click on the top surface, then use Move/Rotate. Would still like to know how the subtract method would improve this.
It’s better because it’s parametric and you control everything. I’m trying to use move/rotate tool as less as possible in my work.
Just as an example: try changing the angle to 45 degrees after you’ve already set one. Imagine you’ve forgotten what angle you used the first time.
In recent releases you can use another method also.
And here’s the beauty of the parametric approach:
Thank you! Would the split body approach be parametric as well?
In this case - yes.
Would be nice if Move/Rotate tool was also parametric.
