Assemblies and individual components

Hi everyone,

I’m very new to Shapr3D and I am looking for some advice. I am a teacher of Graphic communication and stumbled across the app in the last few weeks and I think it is a great alternative to what we already use (Inventor).

However, there are a few things I am wondering if can be done.
. With Inventor, we create each part individually, assemble it, then create individual production drawing of each component - can this be done in Shapr?
. Can more than on components be put on the same page?
. Can it be set so that production drawings are in third angle projection?
. Can it be set up to do animations?

Sorry if these have been answered before, but would appreciate any advice!

Cheers,
Anthony

Hello Anthony

I have given a few classes on 3D printing to a local University, and introduced Shapr3D to the students.

I also produce custom fabrication of components using Shapr3D by fabricating the components myself, of sending out drawings. The drawing capabilities keep growing with features.

Animation is not yet a feature, however there is a pseudo work around. I disassemble the assembly, and then record the screen, while going backwards with the undo command. This creates an “animation” for the assembly. I’m attaching a short video as an example.

Best regards
