I have created something in one design and would like to bring it into another design. Is there a way to do that?

Yes. Simply export your first design in Shapr3D format to Files, or some other saved destination. Then open your second design, and then import the first design. You may want to move the second design away from the origin to prevent it from being overlapped by the import. But you can still move each object by selecting it and moving it.
