Create frequently used hardware bodies to use between all drawings?

I use the same hardware for many of the different models I draw. For example: screw eyes and stainless steel rod of fixed dimensions. Is it possible to draw these things once and then cut/paste or import them into future drawings?

No. It’s been asked for. But alas no. Export that part to be importable in other projects.

I suggested a transport folder in the folder pane common for all projects a long time ago. Drop it in the folder and it’s there for the next project.

Your best bet might be.
Left click on the body/part you want in the Items panel.
Then click ‘Isolate’ ON
Now move the part to where you would like it to be when you use it in the future.
For some this might simply be near the origin (you might want to have it offset on one axis).
Now export the body as a solid to a folder on your PC/Mac (A Parts Library folder).
I tend to use the para-solid (.x-t) format for a body, which imports faster (When ever you import an object, Shapr3D converts it to a ParaSolid).
You can now ‘UNDO’ your last few operations which will put the object back to where it was in the design.
In the next design, you just import to current project in the ‘FILE’ menu and navigate to your ‘PARTS LIBRARY FOLDER’ to get it.
The imported part should start where it was when you saved it.
Keep in mind that if you update that part, it is just an isolated model and you have to change it your self in all designs that you have it in.
Component part handling is something that FUSION does really well, even down to forwarding changes to the drawings that use the part.

I don’t see getting the Part Library any time soon like Oregon mentioned it was asked many times.

So I too suggest manually making a Parts Library on your iPad.

I also suggest utilizing quick export feature, I choose 3 file formats Shapr (backup), Parasolid (because sounds cool!) and Step (universal compatibility).

I also like to sync with my desktop and further refine file naming or organizing, I guess you can use iCloud but I like Resilio Sync because its P2P and free.

I save the Shapr backup file type for a component when I am doing ‘Bottom Up’ design regime, I then also save the ParaSolid file to use for importing to main assembly model.
When you import the Shapr file in to a main model you get all the Items and History for the component too. This clutters up the side panels, increases file size and uses memory.
