Hi everyone,
I’m pretty new to Shapr3D, been working with it for about 2 weeks now.
I want to print a handplane (think surfboard for your hand) and have the 3D design for the board (I’ve attached a screengrab) - dimensions are approx 26cm x 15cm x 4cm.
Now, ideally I want to design it with a honeycomb infill and say a 4mm skin.I’ll print with filament PLA, at least for the first prototype.!
Please could someone point me in the right direction for how to do this, thanks.
You don’t have to model the infill. Infill is a setting that you set in the slicer software. You just have to model the solid body, export it to STL and load it to your slicer.
ah, I did wonder if it was a later stage, thanks for clearing that up
I didn’t know this before I got my CR-10, and made my own infill. It was a bit of a ball-ache, but I learned a lot.
