Hi!
Been using shapr3d for a week. Currently winging it.
I’m creating a pill shaped shallow bowl.
I keep getting ridges on the back of the piece and not sure how to fix it.
Any suggestions would be really wonderful.
Best wishes

As I understand you trying to make something like this?
Can you describe the steps you’re making then you get unwanted result?
Hi Alex,
Thank you for replying to my query so quickly. And lovely bowl
What you’ve created is extremely close to what I’m trying to achieve. The lip of the bowl I want to create has a flat lip of 2mm instead of rounded.
I’m just about to go to work but when home this evening I will write details of how I constructed my piece.
I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Hi again Alex,
I just recorded myself making the form, but unable to post the video here because I’m a new user.
I’ll write down every step later this evening. Unless you know how I might share the video with you?
Best wishes

You can upload video on YouTube and put the link here or send it to me privately.
I will create a video of creating my variant so you can compare with yours. If you give me all sizes that will help to nake it as close as you want.
Evening Alex,
Thank you so much I sincerely appreciate your guidance on this and the time you’ve taken to put this together for me. How can I repay you!? This is wonderful many thanks.
This has solved it for me. Im hoping to get this piece CNC’d in Valchromat and polish it. The interior will be filled with a hand made surface that I’ll model in clay and cast in resin.
You beauty! Thank you.
Best wishes

Glad it helped
Hi MahPoh Tofu,
It would be polite to check the box that indicates Alex’s advice helped you. In Alex’s post, find the check box that says “Solution”
Unrelated to that, I urge you to post your final product, it sounds pretty neat!
