Disconnect sketch from body

Hello everybody,

I‘d like to ask for help to solve a problem described below:

When I create a body (3D) out of a sketch (2D) and move the body aside, the sketch seems to be still connected to the figure, because when trying to delete the sketch also the body disappears.

Is there a function I can disconnect the sketch from the body as it was usual in previous versions of the app?

Thank you very much!

Jan

Hide sketches ? or Isolate

Isolate. So that I can change the sketch without changing the linked body automatically that was constructed out of the sketch.

Hi everyone,

I‘d like to add another example for that issue that still appears here.

Before, let me describe the situation again please: I use sketches to create a body and also to shape it, for example to „cut“ a 45 degree edge our of a cubistic figure. All those actions did not cause any trouble since I updated on the newest version.

To describe it more visually:

I draw some simple body (step 1) of that I want to cut out a triangle (step 2). When I did so an want to delete the sketch (step 3) the body jumps back to the original shape (step 4).

That’s another sample of what I mean when I see that the sketches are some how linked to the body. As explained, there were no problems at all with these simple tasks before… :frowning:

We are able to delete certain constraints like the pattern tool, or perpendicular rules on it. It should be the same idea - just delete the connection from the sketch. Click it, it highlights the body you’re deleting the connection to, then boom, you’re good.

This also happened when I mirrored a body, I could not delete that sketch to clean up my space.
