I noticed that my extrusions now dissapear when I delete a drawing. Is there a way that I can prevent this?
Well since there is no sticky, do not delete the sketch. Simply hide it in the folder pane or collapse the history. If you collapse history you can delete the sketch.
The sketch is tied to the body for history’s sake.
I dont understand the point of that. I mean if you draw a simple circle just to add a hole and dont need it whats the point of keeping it. Surely we can decide which sketches we want to keep or not
This happened when they moved to a parametric system.
Every feature you make is stacked on top of the original sketch.
Now you need to merge sketches in the history, they are moving more towards industry standards.

History can be a savior especially working on big projects where a size must be changed quickly to accommodate some other factor (Like the accountant says “No you can’t use that part. Too expensive, pick another.” and other scenarios BTDT 
)
What would be nice is a way to turn it off if we feel we do not need it. If we aren’t a design firm. I have not used history once since they added it. Further I find it annoying that the way the sketch is tied to the body… but there are viable workarounds.
