Hello!
Is there a way to do a double alignment?
Let’s say one edge of body “A” is aligned with the other edge of body “B”, and one plane of body “A” is aligned with the other plane of body “B”?
The situation is a bit tricky. I need to place Cabineo at an XY distance from the edge of a material so that the XY distance can be dynamically changed with variation. For this, I use an edit line offset. I adjust the cabineo to this offset, as well as to the lower edge of the material. But if I change the material thickness, the cabineo does not move up like this.
I’m attaching a video of what I described here and what I want to implement.
How would you solve this?
Thank you in advance for your help!!
Thank you very much, I’ll try it!
Then we can’t get a Solid Edge-like function from the software, where I force the point and/or plane of the body to another body on multiple levels. (I was hoping that it was just me who somehow missed it)
It would be really useful for the “Align” function to be “stackable”. So I align it to the given editing line AND align one of its planes to the plane of the other body.
This would make the design easier for many parametric designs. (And also for non-parametric ones)
In the end, I created the editor for the block, not for the edge, but for the face, because it could also be calculated from the dynamic parameters, but this is how it works, thank you!
We are really looking forward to the Assembly function.
