Drawing lengths defaulting to 3 and 4 decimal places long instead of 1

I’m trying to figure out why my drawings keep defaulting to much smaller numbers. Such as when I try to draw a 3.4mm box, it goes to 3.402. If i try to draw 3.5mm its 3.5946. To note, I did project these lines from an object and starting fresh doesn’t cause the issue.

By drawings I believe you mean sketches (not a nitpick, but you may want to change your post title).

I just tried this as well and even with snap to grid on (all else off) and the grid size set to .1mm it will sometimes increment .0001mm between grid lines. I don’t know if this is a bug or intentional.

I never use the grid though and always type in the dimension and make sure it’s locked or use a variable. Otherwise, the dimensions can change accidentally or due to other constraints.

Won’t let me adjust the title, thanks for pointing it out.

I think what happened was the object was moved 0.002mm and after projecting the edges to a new sketch, it took on that property, so every new line started out that way. It feels intentional.

I guess my biggest issue is that if I somehow accidentally move a miniscule amount, I can’t find a good way to center an object, or even align an edge to an axis.

If you moved the object then there should be move/rotate action in the history. In that case all you need is to delete this action.

I’m not sure what you mean by center. There are multiple scenarios where centering is possible. In the cases that it’s not, dimension constraints will work. If you have a specific example where you can’t center something, post it and I’m sure someone will have a solution.
