Exporting from Shapr3D to Quad Mesh file

Shapr3D added visualization recently. To UV texture map a 3D model, to create for websites, games, VR, architectural walk throughs, etc, you need a quad (not tri) mesh export so you can make a proper UV texture map.

What export format from Shapr3d exports the mesh into quads and not tri’s? We don’t see mesh in Shapr so not sure if it is built in quads or tri’s. Maya and Blender build in quads so if you build natively there texture mapping is easy.

Shapr3D is awesome and easy to use to design but is very limited if it cannot be exported into a usable format outside of just 3D printing.

Hi @lforbes , this is a bit out of our focus, as we are primarily focusing on designing for manufacturing. Which CAD system does the best job with generating quad meshes from boundary representation (CAD) data that works for your use case?
