First X1C and Shapr multicolor project 👍

Finally got my X1C and 2 x AMS units set up and running. Minor kinks to work out with the filament tube couplings but WOW! With Shapr it is a magical combination.
Don’t see a need for another AMS right now, but who knows, The X1C has been around for a while but it is still the one to beat. Made this name plate for the local elementary school counselor.

I did most of the vector caricature in Corel Draw. More editing needed in Shapr to get them to extrude properly. These 2 name plates were for the school counselors. My Galpal wants a winter theme name plate so back to drawing. Dafont.com is a good place for fonts if you need them.

I needed, well not really needed, but could have used 9 colors for this one. Only good for 8. I see another AMS in my future.

Bambu Studio can import SVG and extrude it. You can merge by doing Assemble.

You could do everything in Corel Draw.

One time I got tired of exporting and just did everything in a Vector Program and extruded it in Bambu Studio.

Nice work.
Have you done a compare of the Bambu vs Prusa MMU3 color change filament ‘waste’?

Not yet but it the slicer does have the same waste into infill and also another body like Prusa’s. The trick is having a list of bodies with different heights that the waste goes into that are useful in some was. I use toys. Luckily my gal can take them to school and give them away.

I’ll have to try that.
