Font Size in Drawings

The problem that this feature will solve:

Currently, when you try to use the text feature of drawings, they are not changeable in size or style. This means that often, your text does not fit within your required area.

Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:

Ideally, you would be able to adjust text type and size, or have the software automatically resize your text, or, in the worst case have the ability to resize the Title Block feature.

Additionally, there are areas of the vertical block that do not allow text to be added. If text could be added beyond just a title, then perhaps it could be self sizing. Right now, I have to get the text tool and add a block.

What can’t you achieve without this feature?

I often have to find creative ways to reword items so they make sense and fit.

Same problem in the title block and also for the dimensions. Just added a note and the default (and apparently only) text size was ridiculously large!

From other contributors this appear to have been a problem for at least 4 year and annoyingly the developers rarely take any notice of suggestions :frowning:

I’ve made several suggestions but I don’t ever hear anything about them. They continue to add new features, which is good. But some (seemingly) simple things would likely go a long way. Perhaps it’s not on their development roadmap because it’s not where they intend the software to go in the future?? IDK.
