Grid has different origin on different sketch planes?

Somehow, The grid on one of my sketch planes is not aligned to the origin. Does anyone know how this can happen, and how to fix it? It’s making it very difficult to draw using the grid, and impossible to check alignment between sketches on different planes.

Thanks

Hi Jason,

Yes, it’s possible. The center of the plane depends on how you create it. Eg. if you create an offset plane from an existing one, the two axes will be aligned. But if you create the plane eg. by somehow transforming it, the center point will be transformed too.

Hi,

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same issue.
It’s really confusing to me how the origin and grids are being linked to planes.
Is there any documentation available about this somewhere?

Many thanks! Frank

It would be very useful if you’ld incorporate a simple coordinate window with x-y-z to optionally configure origin for construction planes as I see this definitely enhancing your product. After all snap feature as an example is something often used and if grid is off it just means “friction”. It would not be at all difficult to implement.
Another window or button feature could be for c.planes only, to see what sketches light up in Items when cursor hovers on each plane.
It is a bit confusing with your Items setup, I bet many would agree with that.

Please reply.
