Help with Creating Cutouts for a Cosmetic Travel Case

Hi everyone!

I’m fairly new to CAD modeling and working on a portable travel case for my cosmetics. The design will consist of two mirrored pieces.

I’ve started by creating a base as a simple cube and sketched some outlines to arrange my items. Now, I need to create proper cutouts for them. For example, one of the easiest shapes—a cylindrical hole for a lip moisturizer.

What’s the best way to do this? I’ve tried extruding a rectangle downward and then applying a large fillet, as well as using a circular shape and extruding again after I got a new plane from extruding down. However, neither approach seems quite right.

Any advice on the correct method to achieve clean, accurate cutouts with the ability of moving them together with the base sketch? Thanks in advance!

I wanted to attach a .shapr file as well, but I am a too fresh user to do that

Best option is doing a quick modeling of your cosmetic bottles so you can use it to subtract,
