Hello, I had the same problem or question a while ago, but it seems to me that the best way to do this without so much complication or incorrect results is: Using construction plans, you can add construction plans that coincide with the thread, decreasing or increasing the radio. If it is not understood as soon as I can I will upload some photos and maybe someone else will have a better idea. 
Also there are some videos on YouTube that you can take as a guide.
