Hi y’all! I’m not new to Shapr, but I’m definitely not a veteran. I’m making a spear and I’m wondering how I can fill the space in which i made? I made this by splitting the original in half and then angling it and then flipping a copy around.
What I have tried is putting a much bigger rectangle around it and then trying to subtract it in everyway possible. I’ve tried using most of the options, I just can’t seem to figure it out. Any and all help is appreciated!
Loft, Sweep or maybe something else. Hard to understand the geometry from your photo. If you can share the project maybe we will find right option together.
Do you want me to share the project iteration link or a separate .stl?
Would be better .shapr file or at least .x_t.
the website won’t allow me to upload the file since im new .-.
any other way of doing this?
You can send me by email - shapr3d@tsbl.net
I sent over the x_t
that is what i was thinking, yes
is there anyway you can tell me the steps you did afterwards? im thinking about doing different things like this and I feel like it would be nice to know how
It has so many artifacts and gaps/holes in the geometry so it wouldn’t be easy to fill it up. Maybe better start over from flat part you splited and rotated. Was it some sort of vector image or something else?
I had made a sketch of an image that I imported in, then I made all the details and then I rearranged it into what it is now
Grate, can you share that sketch or image?
Also can I upload your file here so other members can take a look?
and go for it, the more help the better
*I did not use a image to model software btw, i had sketched out the outlines
Send me the sketch you’ve got.
And here is the model we have now -
spear head x.x_t.zip (1.3 MB)
im sending you an email with every itteration on the work plane

My thoughts for now.
- Need to be prepared body with required form, but without texture
- Texture from the sketch needs to be projected on that body.
- Make texture from projected edges with offset tool.
ive never used the project feature before, would I use the image or the sketch for the decoration to do so?
Yes, you can use sketch for that. Or vector image converted to sketch.
alright, thank you for your help!
Didn’t get any
