I’m brand new to CAD modeling and design. Trying to self teach and learn through tutorials. In this sketch I created in the image below, how do I go about giving this sketch a body to then extrude it?

Your sketch has an opening somewhere. If it were closed it would have a slight blue cast. Draw a circle next to it and you will see what I mean. Only closed flat faces can be extruded.
Oops. Disregard… You used a construction line. Those are for reference only. Try selecting it and see if you can change it back to a line in the constraints menu on the side.

You need to be out of sketch mode to extrude.
