How to align 2d sketches

I have a basic sketch plane that I drew two rectangles on. I’d like the smaller rectangle to be aligned on the center of one edge of the larger rectangle. The larger rectangle is 6.35mm to relying on the grid snapping won’t work. How can I get the two sketches to align?

Have you tried the Align tool?

I have but that seems to be for bodies, not sketches

Why not just draw a new smaller rectangle inside and aligned with the larger rectangle.

Use the translate tool, the starting and the end point snaping to the midpoints.

All good suggestions :+1:

Another way would be to use the offset tool. Then edit the size of the inner rectangle.

when it has to be fitted to an edited point, I usually draw a circle, because the fit is clearly visible, the snaping to the centre of the circle.

I want to align on the edges, not the center
