HAHAHA their mobile app is dog poop. If you have keyboard and mouse you can bypass their app and run it though iPad Safari it’s much better. One of the reason why I started using Shapr3d I downloaded Onshape app!
Agree
I like Shapr3D for its modern interface, fast starting (compare with F360) and dark theme. Also parametric functionality is the must for me, so I can’t use Plasticity for example.
Parametric in Shapr happened recently, it started off as Direct Modeler.
During that time Shapr trained me well in modeling the most none traditional way.
That was exactly when I started using it. Without parametrics, I wouldn’t even have opened it.
Also ZBrush has a pretty full-functioned app running on the iPad. They recently added the hard-surface modeling tools, and it’s pretty amazing. Of course, it’s not “true” parametric CAD, but I design jewelry and can get absolute accuracy with it. I sometimes make base meshes in Shapr3D to take into ZBrush.
So now I can pretty much make any shape that I want. Damn lofting surfaces is so easy! I could do it in RHINO but hate their Crazy UI.
If you need fast, easy surfacing tool Plasticity is it.
But in Shapr I just wish they give at least 3d curves, just the basics simple ability to make 3d curves!
That bottle thing, I did it in PC, no weird fillets.
